Excursion Destinations
A pleasant climate all year around. A wonderful setting and pleasant neighbours. Badenweiler is situated a good 450 m above sea level. This means that it offers great views of the Markgräflerland region, the Rhine plain and over to the Vosges mountains. It is possible to see Switzerland and Alsace on a clear day.
If you want to ascend a little further (approx. 40 km away from Badenweiler) take the cable car which will bring you to the top of the Belchen peak. This is the second highest mountain in the Black Forest. With a little luck and the right weather, from here you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Swiss Alps and the whole of the southern Black Forest…
