Aqua Villae – the ‘town of water’ is a title which fits Badenweiler particularly well. This isn’t only due to the Roman bath ruins, which experts describe as the largest and best maintained thermal spring bath ruins north of the Alps.
A key component of the cure and healing methods in Badenweiler is its valuable thermal spring water. It draws its powers of healing from the rock stratums of the Black Forest, along which it forges its way until it reaches the ground. It is in this way that an artesian spring exists which is a geological speciality. Since the discovery of the mineral spring by the Romans, around one million litres of healthy thermal spring water have gushed into Badenweiler every day!

Contra indications:
Contagious and infectious illnesses as well as weeping and ulcerous skin disorders, loss of cardiac output in the stage of possible heart failure.
